Airplanes

This is the 72 inch wing span Top Flight Beach Staggerwing ARF. It has retractable main gear and tail wheel.

The main gear is the Robart pneumatic system that was designed for this airplane.  It includes speed adjustments to control the extension and retraction of the gear.  The tail wheel retract system is mechanical and is deployed by a 180 degree servo.

The engine is the O.S. 1.6 2 cycle with a Pitts muffler. It is in perfect shape, starts quickly, idles great, runs strong, and has a good low to full power transition.

This airplane looks really nice in the air, has great vertical, performs out of site loops, and leaves a light smoke trail.  The only thing that would make it better would be to add a smoke system.

I have over 70 flights with it and have had some minor mishaps.  There is some replaced covering and the lower part of the leg fairings are gone.  The leg fairings can be repaired ,I just haven't taken the time to. I would rather fly it than repair it.  The leg fairings aren't that noticeable when the gear is up and it is flying.

This is a 42 inch wingspan Great Planes radio control model airplane. The servos are Hiteck (HS 85MG) metal gear and the engine is the OS .25 FX glow.

The airplane is amazingly fast and stable with over 100 successful flights. The engine has ball bearings and is of the ABC construction.  It runs strong and idles perfectly
