What Do You Think of The New Site?

Now that the new site has been created (note: still a work in progress), we'd like your feedback on what we've created so far and hear your comments, suggestions for enhancements.

Is something missing? Are we doing a great job creating an experience that is helpful?

I love it from what I have seen so far, it has definitely been worth the wait. I like being able to link with the other members, share photos, videos, and communicate directly through the site.
    Keep up the good work!:)

It's looking better, what i like to see is lots of color, airplane and heli photos something to make you want to come back to the site. I would also like to see one of the aerial photos of the field that Robert Y. took at our heli event this year, a big in your face photo, lets show off what we have to offer. I may have missed it but i would like to see a page for volunteers to sign up for events. that way the people running the event can see if they need to recruit more people. Thats all i got for now, i know it's alota work to get the site going so kudos to everyone involved..:)

Robert - create a photo gallery and I will see where I can insert them into the site. In respect to volunteering, we will be creating private events that members can sign up to volunteer. If you look under any of the events, you will see "Your Response" in the right hand corner of the event. Selecting "Attend" suggests that you will attend the event and in the case of volunteering events, will suggest you are willing to volunteer. Great suggestions, keep them coming.....

This is finally what I've been looking for. Really like the new online swap. Just gotta figure out what blog is, I must live too far in the sticks. I agree with Bob about an aerial picture on the front page. It really shows off the club.

I will be using the blod section to post the secretaries reports. I can do it live from the field while we are having the meetings. Other members can post blogs about stuff, like what they learned to build a model, or what they saw at one of the events, etc.

      Edwin,

I will get an aerial photo of the field up on the homepage, perhaps in the scrolling image showcase. A blog is really just a online way of telling a story. For example, if I asked you how to cover a wing in ultracote, you would begin to tell me all the ins and outs of what I need to do, what supplies I need, the best way to do it etc.....that would be a BLOG, titled "How To Cover a Wing in Ultracote" and the story or details you want to share with the reader.

Very big improvement on the website, I really like it... One thing, I only wanted to post photo's to my profile, somehow it posted in the main photo gallery. I don't mind but the main photo gallery would be better off if it were posted by the administrators before the site takes off and it gets cluttered. Perhaps I posted improperly...

William, when you create an album, you set who can see it. Mark your album public for all to see, private for hust you or friends and only those who are your community friends can see it. You can modify your album, look for the lock icon to change the privacy setting.

Great job to everyone involved. Looks great and makes me want to get involved. Sometimes the server seems to be a bit slow for me. Could be my connection?
